The staff members here at Crash Tech Reconstruction Services, LLC come from a variety of backgrounds. When we are on a case, we bring multiple college degrees, accreditations, military experiences, private contracting experiences, and over 100 years of Law Enforcement investigative experience with us. Our Reconstructionists and investigators have gained training and experience from some of the top schools in the country including the University of Akron, the University of North Florida - Institute of Police Technology and Management, Northwestern University, Kent State University, and the Ohio Peace Officer Training Academy. In addition to our training, Crash Tech's experts have thousands of hours of trial experience, on the stand, answering question, and explaining our findings to jurys. This ensures that our experts always can expalin their findings in an easy to understand and engaging way. We will never preach to a jury or speak over their heads using "industry jargon". Instead, our experts will educate the jury through practical and easy to understand testimony and demonstrations when neccessary, which will allow them to understand our findings.
Along with their extensive training accomplishments, all of our Reconstructionists are either accredited with the Accreditation Commission for Traffic Accident Reconstruction (ACTAR) or are in the process of obtaining their accreditation. Our personnel are also members of multiple professional affiliations, such as the Society of Automotive Engineers, the Accident Reconstruction Communication Network, Maryland Association of Traffic Accident Investigators, and the Fraternal Order of Police.

Eric Brown is the founder and owner of Crash Tech Reconstruction Services, LLC. Mr. Brown is an ACTAR accredited reconstructionist #2706, BOSCH CDR Technician, Forensic Vehicle Inspector, Heavy Truck Crash Data Retrieval Technician, and Commercial Remote Pilot. He has been an active Ohio Peace Officer since 2004 and is a combat veteran of the United States Marine Corps where he was a Heavy Truck Operator and Sergeant in charge of the motor pool for Truck Company, Headquarters Batallion, 4th Marine Division. Mr. Brown's time in the Marines gave him experience operating heavy trucks on public roads in the U.S. and off-road during combat operations in Iraq. He also gained experience with load securement hauling explosive ordinance, performing pre-trip and post-trip truck inspections, and performing annual maintenance on heavy trucks. Mr. Brown has spent his law enforcement career in dedicated traffic units such as crash investigations, traffic enforcement, and commerical motor vehicle enforecement, and also serves as a Sergeant on his county's Metro Crash Investigation Team. He has been a speaker on crash topics for the largest insurance companies in the world, been published in the Ohio Association for Justice magazine, is an instructor for all levels of the Crash Reconstruction curriculum for the Ohio Peace Officer Training Academy, and is a Subject Matter Expert in Crash Investigations for the Ohio Attorney General. Mr. Brown has investigated over 2,750 live crashes during his career. He has been qualified as an expert in local, county, state, district, and federal courts in multiple states accross the U.S, and his opinions have been found to meet all 5 of the Daubert Standards.
Phil Relli has been with Crash Tech Reconstruction Services, LLC since its founding in 2012. He is currently the Senior Reconstructionist in charge of Crash Tech's laboratory services and graphics team. Mr. Relli is an ACTAR accredited reconstructionist #2496, Forensic Mapping Expert, BOSCH CDR Technician, heavy truck Crash Data Retrieval Technician, and crash animator. He is extremely skilled with Pix4D photogrammetry software and Virtual Crash software. He has been an Ohio Peace Officer since 2005. Mr. Relli has spent his law enforcement career in the roles of crash investigations, commercial motor vehicle enforcement, and as a motor officer. He also is the lead reconstructionist for his department. Mr. Relli has investigated over 1,500 live crashes during his career, is qualified as an expert witness in multiple courts at multiple difference levels, and his opinions have been found to meet all 5 of the Daubert Standards. In addition to all of his work in the crash investigation field, Mr. Relli continues to give back by teaching countless new officers how to investigate crashes as an instructor for the Ohio Peace Officer Training Academy.
Steve Schmit has been with Crash Tech Reconstruction Services, LLC since 2023. He is currently the Senior Reconstructionist in charge of Commercial Truck cases and cases along the eastern U.S. Mr. Schmit is an ACTAR accredited reconstructionist #2062, expert in PIX4D photogrammetry software, BOSCH CDR Technician, and Commercial Motor Vehicle Crash Data Retrieval Technician . He has been a Pennsylvania State Trooper since 2003. Mr. Schmit has spent his law enforcement career in the roles of crash investigations, commercial motor vehicle enforcement, and as an instructor for the for the Pennsylvania State Police Bureau of Patrol. Mr. Schmit has responded to and investigated over 2,000 live crashes during his career, is qualified as an expert witness in multiple courts at multiple difference levels. In addition to all of his work in the crash investigation field, Mr. Schmit continues to give back by teaching countless new officers how to investigate crashes as an instructor for the Pennsylvania State Police Training Academy. He also teaches other experts how to investigate heavy truck crashes for the Institute of Police Technology and Management at the University of North Florida
Nichole Huber has been leading some of Mr. Brown's other business ventures since 2017, but has come exclusively to Crash Tech Reconstruction Services, LLC in 2021. Mrs. Huber is the Director of Office Operations and is in charge of scheduling, customer experience, billing, office operations, and making sure Crash Tech is constantly exceeding our client's expectations. She is the embodiment of the old saying, "Do you want to talk to the man in charge or woman who knows what's going on". Her unique background in management, office operations, processes, and customer service for multimillion dollar companies makes her extremely skilled in ensuring Crash Tech's operations and case management scale seamlessly with our customer growth in the industry. Mrs. Huber is a master problem solver, miracle worker, devoted mother to 3, and loving law enforcement wife, making her the perfect addition to the Crash Tech family.
Chris Wells has been with Crash Tech Reconstruction Services, LLC since 2017. Mr. Wells is an ACTAR accredited reconstructionist #3115 and BOSCH CDR Technician. He has been an active Ohio Peace Officer since 2012. Mr. Wells has spent his law enforcement career in dedicated traffic units both as a crash investigator and enforcement officer. He also serves as the Lead Reconstructionist and Trainer on his county's Metro Crash Investigation Team. He has investigated over 2,250 live crashes during his career and is qualified as an expert in multiple difference courts.
Spencer Dzubara has been with Crash Tech Reconstruction Services, LLC since 2020. Mr. Dzubara is an ACTAR Accredited Reconstructionist #4277, and also a BOSCH CDR Technician, Forensic Mapping Expert, and Commercial Motor Vehicle Crash Data Retrieval Technician. He has been an Ohio Peace Officer since 2015 and is a veteran of the United States Marine Corps. Mr. Dzubara has spent his law enforcement career on patrol and has conducted live, on-scene crash investigations and documentation countless times. He also serves on his county's Metro Crash Investigation Team. Mr. Dzubara has investigated over 250 live crashes during his career and has participated in multiple studies for use in the accident reconstruction field.
Jerome Owens has been with Crash Tech since 2021. Mr. Owens is a Certified Reconstructionist currently in the process for earning his accreditation, and also a BOSCH CDR Technician,. He has been a West Virginia Peace Officer since 2018. Mr. Owens has spent his law enforcement career on patrol and in dedicated traffic units including enforcement and crash investigations, and has conducted live on-scene crash investigations and documentation countless times. Mr. Owens has continued to gain advanced training in areas such as Advanced Motorcycle and Pedestrian Crash Reconstruction and he is also a certified Drug Recognition Expert.
Robert Huber has been with Crash Tech Reconstruction Services, LLC since 2022. He is currently the Senior Technical Investigator for Crash Tech. Mr. Huber is a certified Technical Crash Investigator and BOSCH CDR Technician. He has been an active Ohio Peace Officer since 2012. Mr. Huber has spent his law enforcement career in Patrol, Detective Bueau, and as a member of his department's regional SWAT Team. He has responded to and investigated hundreds of live crashes in addition to performing other ciminal investigations and conducting in-depth interviews and interrogations during his career.
Greg Brown has been with Crash Tech Reconstruction Services, LLC since 2017. He is currently the flight compliance officer in charge of all aerial operations. Mr. Brown is a FAA licensed commercial pilot, commercial flight instructor, licensed commercial drone pilot, and has a background in flight instruction, ground operations, aerial operations, airport operations, airspace compliance, and has experiance flying experimental aircraft. He has been a commercial pilot and flight instructor since 2005 and ensures that Crash Tech's staff of commercial drone pilots are collecting evidence lawfully, in compliance with current FAA rules and regulations. Mr. Brown also comes with a background in the automotive service industry and tire industry, making him a valuable addition to the Crash Tech Team.
